About the Conference
Across Asian and comparative philosophical traditions, embodiment has long been central to questions of self, ethics, community, and the human relationship to the world.
At a time of rapid technological change, ecological crisis, and global uncertainty, this conference invites renewed reflection on how texts, traditions, and lived experience shape agency, responsibility, and philosophical dialogue across cultures.

Individual Paper Proposals
- Title
- Abstract of 200–300 words
- Presenter’s name, institutional affiliation, and email address
Panel Proposals
Panel submissions may be either standard panels or alternative-format panels/sessions, including roundtables, workshops, author-meets-reader sessions, and similar formats.
- Panel/session title
- 200–300 word panel/session description
- Title and abstract of each paper, where applicable
- Name, institutional affiliation, and email address of each participant, including the panel moderator or session organizer

Graduate Student Essay Contest
SACP awards prizes for the top three papers presented by graduate students: First Place, Second Place, and Third Place.
Students must attend the conference and present their papers to be eligible. Those who wish their papers to be considered must submit both an abstract and a complete essay of no more than 5,000 words to SACP Secretary Kevin Taylor at SACPcontact@gmail.com by November 15, 2026.
Registration & Membership
All presenters must be current SACP members and complete conference registration in order to participate in the conference and appear on the final program.
